Which games work with two?
Three of the four room games start at 2 players. You both see the same round at the same moment, each on your own screen.
Trivia Night
Pick categories you both like, or a surprise mix, and a timer. Faster right answers score more, so it’s a real duel.
Word Mix
The same scrambled letters on both phones. The first to type a word that uses all of them wins the round.
Odd One Out
Four items, one doesn’t belong. One tap each, and the reveal explains the link.
Good for couples and long-distance friends?
Distance is the whole point. Start a room while you are on the phone or a video call, and you both see the same question at the same moment, whether you are in the next room or another country. Trivia Night keeps score for you, Word Mix is a pure speed duel, and Odd One Out is the one to play when one of you is tired of trivia. Switch games in the same room without rejoining.
Play now or take turns?
A room is live: you both play at the same moment. When your schedules don’t line up, send a friend challenge instead. You play 7 questions now, and they get 24 hours to answer the same ones, with a side-by-side comparison when you have both finished. Challenges need a free account on both sides.
Got a third person? Play Imposter
Imposter needs at least 3 players. Everyone gets the same secret word except one, who gets a near-miss and has to bluff through the clues. Add one more friend to the room and it opens up.
Frequently asked questions
Can two people play on different phones?
Yes. One of you starts a room and sends the 6-character code; the other opens it on their phone. You don’t need to be in the same place.
Does my friend need an account?
Not to join a room: they open the link, type a name and play. Only the person hosting needs a free account. A friend challenge is different: it needs free accounts on both sides.
Is it free?
Yes. Joining is always free, and a free account can host 3 games a day. Premium ($2.99 a month) makes hosting unlimited.
Can we play on a laptop and a phone?
Yes. Twentyroll runs in any modern browser, so a laptop and a phone, or two tablets, can share a room.
