How a match works

Pick a category, from science and history to movies and sports, then start a round. Each round is 7 questions with a 10-second timer per question. Every question is worth 20 points and the value slides down to 10 the longer you take, so a perfect round is 140 and you can work your score out in your head while you play.

After the round you get a full answer review with an explanation for every question, including the ones you missed. Win or lose, you walk away knowing something you did not know before.

For a group, start a room instead. Up to 12 players join with a 6-character code, no accounts needed for guests, and everyone answers the same question at the same moment on their own phone. The host picks up to 8 categories, 5 to 20 questions and the timer, and the room can switch to Imposter, Word Mix or Odd One Out between rounds.

Twentyroll is free to play with a daily allowance of games, and it runs as a web app on phones, tablets, and desktops. There is nothing to install, though you can add it to your home screen for an app-like experience. A premium subscription removes the daily limit and unlocks exclusive categories.
