Leaderboards & Rankings

A Trivia Game Where the Leaderboard Actually Means Something

Most quiz apps show you a score and forget it. Twentyroll keeps it: every timed game you finish feeds a global leaderboard that ranks all players, so each round is a small move in a much longer competition.

And because scores are calculated and verified on the server, the names above you earned their spot the same way you will: by being fast and right.

How rankings are calculated

Your leaderboard position is driven by total points earned across scored games. Points come from correct answers, with bonuses for answering quickly and for streaks of consecutive correct answers. Finish more rounds, answer faster, miss less: that is the whole formula.

Global ranking

One worldwide table ranks every player by total points. Your exact rank is always visible on your dashboard.

Regional views

Filter the board to see how you stack up in your own country or region.

Personal bests

Best single-round score, best streak, and accuracy are tracked so you can compete with yesterday-you too.

Verified scores

All scoring happens server-side with the answer key never exposed to the browser, so impossible scores stay impossible.

Progression beyond the board

Climbing the leaderboard is the headline, but Twentyroll tracks progress on more axes than one. Every game earns XP toward your level. Achievements mark milestones like accuracy runs, streak records, and challenge wins. Daily streaks reward coming back, which quietly does more for your ranking, and your general knowledge, than any single great round.

Practice mode is deliberately excluded from points and rankings. It exists for learning, with no timer and explanations on every question, so the leaderboard stays a measure of real timed performance.

Why a competitive ladder keeps you sharp

A visible rank changes how you play. Knowing that one more round could pass the next player turns a casual habit into a reason to focus, and chasing accuracy instead of just volume pushes you into categories you would otherwise skip. The leaderboard is, in practice, a motivation engine for learning things.

Friend challenges feed the same hunger at smaller scale: beat your friends head-to-head, then check what that did to the gap between you on the global table.

Start from rank nothing

Everyone on the board started unranked. A free account, a category you like, and a few two-minute rounds are enough to put your name on the global table and start the climb.

Frequently asked questions

How are Twentyroll leaderboard rankings calculated?

Rankings are based on total points earned in scored games. Points come from correct answers, with bonuses for speed and for streaks of consecutive correct answers. All scoring is computed and verified server-side.

Can leaderboard scores be faked or cheated?

The game is built to prevent it. Correct answers are never sent to the browser before you answer, scoring happens on the server, and the 10-second timer leaves no time to look answers up.

Is there a regional or country leaderboard?

Yes. Alongside the global table you can view rankings filtered by region, so you can aim for best-in-country before best-in-world.

Do practice games count toward my ranking?

No. Practice mode is untimed and built for learning, so it awards no points or XP. Only timed solo games and challenges move your ranking.

Do I lose rank if I stop playing?

Your points do not decay, but other players keep earning. Daily streaks reward consistency, and regular short sessions are the steadiest way to climb.
